The YouTuber mryeester conducted an experiment using dry ice to cool the CPU in HP's Omen Max 45L, taking advantage of the Cryo Chamber. When dry ice was placed directly on top of the AIO, the CPU temperature dropped to 37 °C, matching the results achieved with regular ice. However, with the dry ice positioned in the Cryo Chamber, the idle temperature fell to 34 °C, an improvement over the stock temperature of 43 °C.
Performance Results
Mryeester benchmarked Cyberpunk 2077 and recorded a frame rate of 157 fps at stock settings. Using dry ice, the frame rate slightly increased to 159 fps. While this shows a marginal improvement, the difference is negligible and unlikely to impact gaming performance significantly.
