CD Projekt studio could be working on a multiplayer version of the game. According to game industry insider Thwargle, the company behind The Witcher and GWENT is currently working on a new project. And like their other projects, it will most likely be an online game. As per resources, it's confirmed that they're working on a new game, and it's been suggested that this new game will be multiplayer — possibly even MMO. This is good news for their Witcher series and fans of the fantasy genre. About The New Game CD Projekt Studio has been responsible for some of the most popular games in recent memory. From The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Gwent to Cyberpunk 2077, the team behind the studio is constantly working on new projects. Now, it seems that another game might be coming our way soon. According to a report from Game reactor Denmark (translated by NeoGAF user The Witcher ), CD Projekt may be working on a new game called Throne breaker: The Witcher Tales. It’s being described as an RPG-adventure set in the Witcher universe, featuring single-player gameplay with multiplayer elements similar to Destiny 2’s Crucible mode or Hearthstone’s Tavern Brawls. The report also mentions that Throne breaker will feature five story chapters and a sixth one that will come free for all players who pre-order the game. This would be similar to how The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had its own version of Dark Souls’ “Abyss” DLC content with New Game Plus mode included as part of the base game package when it was released back in 2015. The job posting also states that “experience with multiplayer games, especially MMOs is a plus” which makes fans think that CD Projekt Red is working on something big and ambitious. A multiplayer Witcher game would certainly be something exciting to see come out of CD Projekt Red but we need to remember that this might just be a rumor at this point until we hear official confirmation from either CD Projekt Red or CDPR itself.
