Future Content for Slay the Spire 2
Mega Crit has released its latest monthly Neowsletter, detailing exciting future plans for Slay the Spire 2. The update outlines several key features in development, including The Bestiary, which will allow players to view and learn about enemies within the game. Additionally, players can look forward to alternate versions of Act 2 and Act 3, new experimental game modes, and a new character that was teased earlier this month.
Despite these announcements, Mega Crit has opted not to provide specific dates for the upcoming content. According to co-founder Casey Yano, the vague roadmap is intentional, as it allows the team to work at a healthy pace and encourages spontaneous experimentation. This approach aims to foster creativity without the pressure of deadlines.
Player Choices and Stats
The Neowsletter also shared some intriguing statistics regarding player choices in Slay the Spire 2. For instance, 12 percent of players have chosen to keep War Historian Repy locked in their cage after obtaining the Lantern Key in Act 2. Interestingly, a significant 63 percent of players opted to Gorge in the Room Full of Cheese event, despite the lure of the powerful Chosen Cheese relic available through the Search option.
Moreover, 49 percent of players decided to eat the Byrdonis Egg in Act 1, gaining a significant boost of 7 max HP. This decision reflects the strategic choices players face, adding depth to the gameplay experience.
Challenges Faced by the Development Team
Despite the promising updates, Mega Crit is currently dealing with some challenges. The game has been review-bombed for the second time within a month, which reflects some frustrations within the community. These reviews may stem from the ongoing adjustments and changes to the game as the developers aim to improve the overall experience.
