As we know, Sony is launching the PlayStation 5 with 2 Editions. There is a digital edition and a standard edition. PlayStation India has tweeted that it will launch in India on February 2 and its pre-order will start from January 12, so you can order it dear from 12 January at 12pm IST onwards. It is launching much later in India than the US and UK and many other countries.
If you want to get more information related to launching in India, then click this link
So let’s know what is the difference between these two editions and which one should we buy and which should not be purchased.
Digital Edition: (Its price in India is Rs. 39,990)
So, first of all, we start with a digital edition, In the name of digital editions, you will feel that you have to download games from the store. The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition does not have any Blu-ray Disc Reader, which means that you will have to purchase all the games you want to play from the PlayStation Store.
Benefits of digital edition:
So as we know that in the digital edition we have to buy all the games digitally, no physical disk will run in it. Its price is much less than the standard edition, who has to buy the next-gen console and if he is short of money, then he can buy the digital edition. Sony PlayStation has released that there is no difference between the hardware of both editions means digital edition and standard edition. It means that the hardware of both is the same. You do not have to compromise any way between the two editions. Sony, from time to time, keeps bringing many offers to his store, including many games which are available at very low prices. So if you want to buy a digital edition then you can buy comfortably and there will be no problem and you can enjoy the next-gen console.
Disadvantages of digital edition:
As we have already told that there is no difference between the hardware of standard and digital edition. The only difference is that it does not have any Blu-ray disc reader so that you cannot install the game by putting any physical disk in it. So this means that you have to download the entire game from the internet and then after that, you will be able to play it.
Which can be a big problem because many people do not have broadband or high speed internet so that they can download and play such heavy games. As you know, the recently launched games are about 100 GB games, which is very large size, we will need very good internet to download it.
The only disadvantage of Digital Edition is that in this you will need a very good internet connection so that you can download all the games that are online, if you do not have an internet connection, do not buy this edition.
Sony is launching PlayStation 5 in India for Rs. 49,990. In the standard edition, you will get a Blu-ray disc with which you can install and play physical games. As we know that there is no change in the hardware of the digital edition and standard edition, the hardware of both is the same, it just lacks a blu ray disc reader in the digital edition.
Benefits of Standard Edition:
You as we know that in the standard edition you are getting a Blu ray disc reader so that you can buy and install any game, and you can play it comfortably in it, As we saw that in the digital edition, we have to download and play games through the internet because there was no Blu Ray disc in it.
But there is nothing like this in Standard Edition, even if you do not have good internet, you can still play games in it, all you have to do is that you have to buy a physical disk and install it and play it, then it is not necessary that you are good Internet connection is required to play the game. There are many people who do not have a good internet connection, who want that they have a physical disk that they have to play through the game rather than download the entire game through the internet.
A big advantage of this is that if your friends also play PlayStation 5, then you can buy a disc and play it and share it with friends. You play many games for less money.
There are many sites available in which you can sell the game, meaning that you bought the game yourself, then played it, then sold it to the site that will give you money, and with that money, you can buy another game.
Disadvantages of Standard Edition
By the way, there is no disadvantage of standard edition but only one of its disadvantages can be said that its price is very high. There are many people who cannot afford this much money. So it will be difficult for them.
