About The Quiet Things
The Quiet Things is an upcoming narrative game developed by Silver Script Games. The game tells an autobiographical story of studio founder Alyx Jones's experiences with mental health issues and childhood abuse. Originally set to be featured during the BAFTA Game Awards, the trailer was removed just before the event due to its sensitive content.

Developer's Response
Expressing her frustration, Jones remarked, "I’ve stayed quiet to maintain relationships. I’ve taken the hits. I’ve tried not to burn bridges." She emphasized the pain of reliving the experience of being silenced, stating that the game is deeply personal and addresses trauma and abuse. Jones highlighted the importance of art in evoking emotions, saying, "Art should make people feel something."
BAFTA's Justification
In an update on April 17, 2026, BAFTA issued a statement explaining their decision. They noted that the removal of the trailer was made "in consideration of [its] guests" and reaffirmed their support for games that tackle difficult subjects. BAFTA stated, "We made a compliance decision not to show a trailer of an unreleased game that contains themes that may be a trigger for some, in consideration of our guests as we were not in a position to sufficiently warn them."
