The franchise update video provided a sneak peek at the next major DLC for Frostpunk 2, titled Breach of Trust, set to release on June 23. This expansion introduces a volcanic eruption that alters the way players interact with heat, a critical resource in the game. As Juszczyk noted, "In Breach of Trust, the heat is no longer your salvation: it might just be your downfall." Players can expect fresh gameplay mechanics and an evocative story, making this DLC a significant addition to the Frostpunk universe.
More DLC and Remake News
Beyond Breach of Trust, the team hinted at another upcoming expansion, the Surge DLC, which is mentioned on the game's roadmap. While details are scarce, it promises to build on the foundations laid by the previous titles. Additionally, a remake of the original game, titled Frostpunk 1886, is in the works.
