Addressing the Enemy Drought

Crimson Desert is a massive game with hundreds of hours of content, but players have already exhausted much of what it offers in just three weeks. One major complaint from players reaching the endgame is the lack of enemies to fight. As noted by Reddit user D3vilK4i, "after clearing regions and progressing far enough in the main quest, the map becomes too empty of enemies." This situation poses a challenge for players hoping to complete certain objectives that require a steady supply of foes.

Not All Games Require Endless Activities

It's essential to acknowledge that not every single-player game needs to have boundless activities or tasks. Some games are perfectly fine allowing players to reach a point where most content is completed. However, in the case of Crimson Desert, this emptiness can hinder players' ability to engage with specific challenges or achieve 100% completion.

A Creepy Solution

Fortunately, a hidden solution exists within the game that can help address this endgame issue. Early on, while working through story quests in the Hernand region, players will encounter the Reed Devil storyline. This quest culminates in a boss fight located in a field of reeds within the Mountain of Frozen Souls region. South of this area lies Sunset Valley, home to a house that once belonged to the Reed Devil.

Discovering the Mask

Inside the northernmost building, players can find a collection of T-posing mannequins, all adorned with helmets similar to those worn by the Reed Devil's minions. Next to these mannequins is a book titled "Tales of Sunset Valley," along with the "Mask of the Devil of the Reed Field." By taking this mask, players can trigger an infinite spawn of enemies, alleviating the problem of scarcity.

Farming Enemies with Style

Once players don the mask, they can return to the field where they previously battled the Reed Devil. There, they'll encounter a swarm of immobile scarecrows that turn into minions when approached. This setup allows players to engage in a relatively easy farming session for experience points and challenges, all while having the option to quickly retreat on horseback.

Know When to Take Off the Mask

This enemy spawning mechanic can be deactivated at any time by removing the mask from the inventory, such as by storing it at a camp. Players should be mindful, however, as carrying the mask designates them as the Chosen One, a label that comes with its own set of consequences.
