D4vd Cosmetics Refund Announcement
Epic Games has confirmed it will refund D4vd cosmetics to any Fortnite player who requests it via player support. The refund policy comes in response to community calls for action regarding these items, which have drawn criticism due to their association with 21-year-old U.S. singer D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke. Players had expressed their desire for Epic Games to remove D4vd emotes and jamtracks, with some stating they would rather not own these items at all.
The D4vd items include the Feel It and Trophy Drop emotes and the What Are You Waiting For and Locked and Loaded Jam Tracks. Following reports of players successfully obtaining refunds through player support, the Fortnite Status account tweeted confirmation of the refund initiative and hinted at further changes coming soon.

What This Means for Players
The self-service refund option will be available starting April 28th, allowing players to quickly reclaim their money for D4vd cosmetics without needing to go through player support. This is a significant step for Epic Games, as it shows responsiveness to player feedback and addresses concerns directly related to the game's content. Some players are also requesting that Epic Games remove D4vd emotes from their accounts, especially if they obtained them through tournament placements. While Epic has not confirmed whether they will remove D4vd cosmetics entirely, the ongoing dialogue suggests that changes may be forthcoming.
