Lucasfilm has announced a major integration of Star Wars into Fortnite, launching on May 1. This collaboration allows players to create Star Wars-inspired islands using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Fortnite Creative, utilizing iconic characters and locations from the franchise. This move not only expands the universe of Fortnite but also signifies a shift in how players can engage with the Star Wars narrative.

Starting May 1, developers will have access to curated assets including fan-favorite characters like Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Darth Vader, as well as iconic locations such as Hoth, Nevarro, and Tatooine. Players will also be able to pilot vehicles like X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and AATs, further immersing them in the Star Wars experience. This opens the door for a more interactive and personalized approach to storytelling within the Star Wars universe.
