Unlocking the Terran Armada Quest
The Terran Armada DLC is now live in Starfield, but starting the quest isn't as straightforward as it may seem. This late-game content requires players to complete specific prerequisites before diving in.
Purchasing and Installing the DLC
First, you’ll need to purchase the DLC for $9.99 if you haven't already. However, if you own the Premium Edition of Starfield, you can access this content without any additional cost. Once you have the DLC, make sure it’s properly installed on your platform, especially if you’re on PC.
Reaching Akila City
Your next step is to reach Akila City, an area you’ll automatically visit as part of the main storyline. After arriving, you'll need to locate a terminal to listen to an SSNN broadcast. These terminals can be found in various populated areas, making them relatively easy to track down.
Completing the Optional Side Quest
If you can’t find the broadcast right away, you may need to complete a specific optional quest that kicks in when you arrive in Akila City. This side quest involves resolving a hostage situation. While my experience did not require this step to advance, some players might need to finish this quest to unlock the broadcast.
Starting the Attack of the Terran Armada Mission
Once you successfully hear the announcement, you’ll gather all necessary information. The quest begins with the mission titled **Attack of the Terran Armada**, where you’ll join a search party that orbits around Nirvana 1. This sets the stage for what promises to be an engaging storyline.
Level Requirements and Troubleshooting
Bear in mind that the Terran Armada quest is recommended for players at level 50 or higher. If you're starting on PS5, this may take considerable time to reach. Additionally, if you’re on PC and have met all the requirements but still can’t start the quest, try reinstalling the DLC through your Steam library. There’s some uncertainty around whether the **Shattered Space** DLC is necessary, as it was enabled in my case.
