Iconic run-and-gun action RPG and shooter series by SNK
Tekken 8 game director Kohei Ikeda has left Bandai Namco to reunite with former series director Katsuhiro Harada and veteran producer Yuichi Yonemori at the newly formed Vs Studio. The SNK-backed studio announced in May now houses three of the franchise's most senior developers. Their first project remains unannounced, though a fighting game seems the natural assumption.
Games Done Quick has cancelled a sponsored stream with SNK, developer of the Metal Slug series, following community backlash over SNK's 96% ownership by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
