Australian developer of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros
PlaySide Studios is building War for Westeros with a 'set and forget' worker system and robust tutorials to welcome Game of Thrones fans who have never played a real-time strategy game. The PC title launches next year with HBO-approved character likenesses and commander heroes that buff nearby units. Weekly internal playtests and heat map data are shaping faction balance ahead of release.
PlaySide Studios has officially pushed the release of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros from 2026 to early 2027. The real-time strategy game needs more development time to hit the quality bar the studio has set for both RTS veterans and fans of the HBO series.
