Major Bug Fixes Incoming
Pokémon Champions will soon tackle a variety of bugs that have surfaced since its release. Developer The Pokemon Works announced these changes in a recent blog post, highlighting issues with incorrect Pokémon genders in tutorials, problems with mega evolutions, and other gameplay hiccups.
Incorrect Genders and Moves
One notable issue involves the gender of certain Pokémon presented in the tutorial. Players have pointed out discrepancies not only in tutorials but also within coordinated teams released alongside the game. Moreover, the description of the "Leech Seed" state has also been flagged as incorrect. Previously, it was stated that Pokémon would take damage equal to 1/16 of their maximum HP, but the correct figure is actually 1/8, although damage calculation during battles is functioning properly.
Mega Evolution Glitches
Another significant concern involves mega evolutions. Under specific conditions, when both Pokémon mega evolve simultaneously, the order of their attacks may not occur as intended. This bug can impact battle outcomes, frustrating players who rely on precise mechanics during critical encounters.
Additional Gameplay Fixes
Further updates will also address the ability "Lightning Rod," which may not activate correctly when a Pokémon is in an Encore state. Additionally, players reported an issue when they attempt to view move details during battle. If players hover over "Mega Evolution" and press the B button, they can encounter difficulties selecting the move. A temporary workaround has been suggested: opening and closing the surrender window using the minus button to regain move selection.
Communication Errors
In addition to these fixes, the blog post mentioned a bug causing communication errors when sending Pokémon on expeditions from Pokémon Home. This issue adds to the list of performance-related problems that have led to mixed reactions from fans since the game's release.
Community Response
The announcement of these bug fixes comes just a day after Pokémon Champions officially launched. Many players expressed disappointment over performance issues and the unavailability of certain items and Pokémon. As the community eagerly awaits these updates, The Pokemon Works aims to restore player confidence and ensure a smoother gameplay experience.
