Limited-Time Free Offer
Graveyard Keeper lets you toil away in a medieval graveyard as the sole person responsible for managing the place, including all the dead bodies that keep arriving every day. It’s hard work, but rewarding, too. And also a bit creepy. Most importantly, for the next few days, this oddball simulator is completely free on Steam.
Free Until April 13
From now until April 13, you can grab a free copy of Graveyard Keeper on Steam. The sim works pretty well on Steam Deck and features a lot of wild DLC alongside plenty of mods to customize your experience.
A Nod to Stardew Valley
Graveyard Keeper arrived on Steam in 2018, about two years after Stardew Valley. It’s impossible not to see how it was directly inspired by that game and Harvest Moon. The developers have openly confirmed that Stardew Valley significantly influenced Graveyard Keeper. Among the many titles that followed Stardew Valley’s success, Graveyard Keeper stands out as one of the best, presenting a robust and totally inaccurate pixelated simulation of managing a medieval cemetery.
Sequel Announcement
The game’s popularity recently received a boost with the announcement of Graveyard Keeper 2 at the Triple-I indie showcase on April 9. To celebrate this upcoming sequel, the original game has been made available for free on Steam, with no strings attached.
What to Expect from Graveyard Keeper 2
While the original game is free, Graveyard Keeper 2 is unlikely to follow suit when it launches later this year. It’s set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC, and fans are eager to see what new features and challenges the sequel will bring.
Don’t Miss Out
This limited-time offer allows players to experience the unique blend of humor, management, and macabre themes that define Graveyard Keeper. Don't miss your chance to add this quirky title to your library while it’s still available for free.
