The development team behind the ambitious Fallout: London mod is hard at work on a significant update aimed at resolving various issues that have plagued players since the mod's release. This upcoming patch promises to enhance the overall player experience by addressing installation difficulties, game crashes, and quest-related problems.
The Ambitious Fallout: London Project
Fallout: London, developed by the independent Team FOLON, was officially announced in 2021 as a major mod for Bethesda's Fallout 4. This expansive project transports players to a post-apocalyptic version of London, offering a fresh take on the Fallout universe, which traditionally focuses on American settings. The mod’s large file size led to its hosting on GOG instead of standard modding platforms like Nexus Mods.
Despite its July 25, 2024, release being highly anticipated, Fallout: London faced technical difficulties and bugs that affected many players' experiences. These issues prompted the development team to take swift action, announcing their commitment to resolving the problems through a series of updates and patches.
Addressing Player Feedback and Technical Issues
In a recent statement on Discord, Team FOLON expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm from the community. They acknowledged the issues reported by players, particularly those related to crashes and installation problems, and outlined their plan to improve the mod.
The team has already released a hotfix to address critical crashes and integrate essential systems like "Buffout 4" directly into the mod. This initial fix aims to stabilize the game for many players, but the developers are not stopping there.
