Galactic Siege
Galactic Siege attempts to recapture the magic of classic Star Wars: Battlefront by pitting Rebels against the Empire in a familiar battle format. Players can choose between different classes and respawn on teammates while fighting for control points. The game includes a layer of persistent progression, allowing players to customize their lightsabers and Jedi characters. However, the combat leaves much to be desired, with less than excellent gunplay and incompetent bots populating the battlefield. The user interface (UI) elements clutter the screen without serving any contextual purpose, detracting from the overall experience.

Droid Tycoon
Droid Tycoon is an idle game that resembles popular formats found in Fortnite and Roblox. Players engage in simple tasks like clicking to accumulate money and assigning droids to stations. While it is the most stable game of the bunch, it ultimately makes players feel foolish for spending time on what amounts to a repetitive clicker experience. The game demands full attention, yet offers little in terms of engaging gameplay, leaving many players questioning its value.
Escape Vader
Escape Vader is a co-op horror game where players navigate the Death Star while avoiding an AI-controlled Darth Vader. Although marketed with a cinematic trailer and the allure of official assets, the execution falls flat. The gameplay is janky and confusing, lacking any real challenge or scare factor. Players can easily escape Vader on their first attempt, rendering the experience trivial and disappointing.
Integration
The integration of these Star Wars-themed games into Fortnite raises questions about the future of licensed titles. While developers like Jogo Games and Beyond Creative have the tools to create impressive experiences, the results here feel lackluster. The games range from a shallow Battlefront rehash to a subpar horror game and a tedious clicker. As Fortnite's Star Wars takeover unfolds throughout May, many players are left hoping for more engaging content from the UEFN toolkit.
