Fortnite fans have been buzzing with excitement following the latest tease from Epic Games—a Deadpool-themed skin for the popular in-game character Fishstick. The teaser, which appears to merge Fishstick with the iconic Deadpool suit, was unveiled in a sketchy, hand-drawn style, adding to the intrigue surrounding this potential new addition.

The Tease: Fishstick Meets Deadpool

The first glimpse of this Deadpool-inspired Fishstick skin came through a brief video shared on Fortnite's official Twitter account on August 11. The clip shows a projection of a rough, color drawing of Fishstick donning a Deadpool bodysuit. Below the projection, a person dressed as Deadpool in a movie-accurate costume is seen reacting with surprise as he walks across a stage. This footage was captured during the Disney Horizons Live presentation at D23, Disney's official fan event that takes place every two years in Anaheim, California.

Though the teaser doesn't confirm the skin's arrival in Fortnite, Deadpool’s voice can be heard in the background saying, "No spoilers. I want to see it in the game. Is he awesome-looking?" This playful hint has left many fans speculating that "Fishpool," as it's being dubbed, could soon be making its way into the game.

Expanding Marvel Crossovers in Fortnite

This isn’t the first time Fortnite has blended its original characters with Marvel superheroes. Just recently, Fortnite introduced the Peelverine Plush Back Bling, which combines the quirky character Peely with Wolverine. This crossover item was unveiled at the same D23 event and is available for free to players who tuned into the livestream or catch its replay before August 16. After that date, the item will be listed in Fortnite's in-game shop.

The addition of "Fishpool" would complement the ongoing influx of Marvel-themed content. In late July, Fortnite rolled out Deadpool and Wolverine skins, emotes, weapons, and accessories to coincide with the release of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, which has been a massive box office success, grossing over $1 billion worldwide as of August 10.
