Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6's map will open relatively early, letting players freely explore the state of Leonida without the story-gated restrictions of previous entries. Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut also revealed the game features an order of magnitude more handcrafted interiors than any prior Rockstar title.
Rockstar Games developers traveled across Florida with police officers and gang members to research GTA 6's virtual Miami and Florida Keys. Head of development Aaron Garbut detailed the studio's immersive approach in a new Love Magazine interview ahead of the game's release next month. The research trips included low flights over the Everglades and hovering above a live Beyoncé concert at a stadium.
