The 1991 NBC series Dark Shadows: The Revival, a 12-episode remake of the cult classic Gothic soap opera, is now officially free to stream in full on YouTube. Ben Cross stars as Barnabas Collins alongside Joanna Going, Barbara Steele, Jean Simmons, and a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The series compresses the original's sprawling 100-episode time-travel storyline into just six episodes.
Rainn Wilson, who played Dwight Schrute in The Office, claims the series' politically incorrect humor would not pass in today's cultural climate. Wilson expressed a tinge of nostalgia for this aspect, acknowledging some scenes would no longer be acceptable. The Office, which ended in 2013, featured humor derived from its characters' outrageous and often inappropriate behavior.
