Blue N.O.V.A. Preview: GungHo's PvE Shooter Flips Battle Royale With a Co-Op Halo

GungHo's upcoming PvE shooter Blue N.O.V.A. introduces a unique Ring system that automatically forms a cooperative halo around nearby players, granting unlimited ammo and encouraging teamwork in a procedurally generated world. The 2027 release showed promise during an early IGN hands-on demo, but lacks the character personality and voice acting the publisher is heavily investing in through V-Tuber integrations and high-profile Japanese voice actors. A public playtest runs until October 29th for players curious about the casual co-op loop.
