Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum has confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again was always designed as a three-season story, contradicting his own earlier comments about an annualized release schedule. The revelation frames the Disney+ series as a direct structural mirror of the original Netflix run, which also lasted three seasons before its abrupt cancellation.
Marvel announced Wonder Man Season 2 in March 2025, then reversed course on July 30, canceling the series despite signed contracts and cleared schedules. Showrunner Andrew Guest revealed the writers' room was set to start in August with production beginning early 2026, and the first episode had already been completed.
